My bio really begins and merges with my mom, Linda Gaddis, so you'll want to read her story as well and you will see I was born in California, but raised in Chattanooga, TN in a "Real Estate Family" where all family gatherings involved real estate conversations and all of my first jobs were in real estate offices and all of my "extended family" were a town of other realtors. So, naturally, I felt pretty determined to NOT become a realtor. After graduating from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Master's degree in Child and Family Studies, I followed college friends to live in Nashville TN and used my degree in working for Bethany Christian Services with birth moms and adoptive parents. After a couple of years I was given the opportunity to move to Mandeville, Jamaica to work in a Children's Home, then on to Montego Bay for a year to work as a Nanny, where I also taught Spanish at Montego Bay Christian Academy.

After living out my dream of living in Jamaica and finding I still had a lot of life to live, I returned to the States with little direction on what I'd do next. I chose to follow my sister and her family to live in Tampa, Florida for a brief time while her second child was being born. It quickly became clear that this was not my forever home and in one phone call to Nashville I had a job and a place to live. I rented a home from the Broker and Owner of a real estate firm who persistently urged me to join her in real estate. Working a "desk job" at the time I was so eager to get up and get moving so I willfully agreed!

I felt I had always been "in the car" of real estate and now it was my turn to learn to drive the car. My broker was eager to train me in real estate so I could use my Master's Degree to better understand and help our clients navigate the process of buying and selling homes. Beginning as a Buyer's Agent for a Top Producer in Nashville TN I received wonderful training, an instant client base to work with and learn from and a wealth of knowledge. When I began in real estate in 2009 we were exiting the Recession with a sea of short sales and foreclosures, buyers could shop for months... then in 2010 we had a major flood, losing many homes and had to find new homes for so many people, then, almost overnight new construction became King and Nashville became the place where everyone wanted to be...the only thing missing was family. After marrying in 2013 and having moved more times that I was years old, my chef husband and I bought the home I had rented from my first Broker and I swore we were going to live there forever! 2020 has brought so much change for our world and for us, it gave some "breathing room" to survey our lives and what mattered most. At the top of that list was Family. With one phone call our house was being shown and under contract and we were moving! home! to Chattanooga!

Every year there's been a new "theme" in the real estate market with more to learn, and more wisdom and experience to share. I have loved working as a realtor, helping to stage and prepare homes to go on the market, guiding clients through the emotional process of navigating the current market and the transaction at hand. I love having other realtors as my coworkers and friends and always having something new in each day. Joining my Mom in real estate, picking up my Grandmother's legacy and quoting my Grandfather's lessons learned from being a builder, feels like coming home to what was always meant to be.

My husband, 3 Rescued Weimaraners and I chose a home on the lake, where my grandmother and mom also own homes. We are surrounded by the most beautiful nature and family, our hearts are full and so thankful!
